A Better English Setter Rescue
NAME:   Thatcher
BREED:  English Setter
COLOR:  Black and White
AGE:      5-7 Years
SEX:      Male
Location: MI
Thatcher is a 5-7-year-old neutered male that was picked up as a stray by a shelter.
Another nearby shelter pulled him, and we were able to rescue him.
He is heart worm negative, and he is VERY furry. :-)

Thatcher is a social dog, good with other dogs, loves his humans, but is a highly
focused cat chaser, indoors and out. He is a very smart boy, learning all new routines
quickly. Thatcher even uses the bell when he wants to be walked or let out and will
toss his bowl when he wants more kibble in it.  He also knows some basic commands,
walks okay on a leash, and grins. Yes, he grins. He's a ham!
Overall, he is a great dog, and he has never had an accident in the house!

Thatcher does not like a crate at all.
He would be a fabulous companion for someone who doesn't want the potty training,
puppy chewing etc. Thatcher is a longer boy, and his tail, although happy, is very
sturdy and thick. Because of his “happy tail”we would not recommend a home with
young children as he doesn't really pay attention to that tail. Even we must watch it!

Someone will be very lucky to adopt this handsome fella!!
