Meet Junebug, a newly 7 year old (3/27/18) setter ready to find her retirement home. She enjoys cuddling, tearing up toys, and sharing snacks on the couch. June is sure she is a lap dog and just wants all the love you will give her. She is a petite girl weighing in at 43 lbs!
June is a big fan of car rides and exploring the pet store, and she absolutely loves receiving attention and pets. She is learning that she can get affection with all four paws on the ground, but does occasionally jump. She does well in the crate, but does need a little encouragement to go in. She has been sleeping in the crate and loves being in her cozy spot at night, though she wouldn't be opposed being in bed with you at night either. While we haven't seen her around children, her loving nature suggests she might do well with children. June has done well with transitioning into being an indoor dog and with her house-training.
She is currently experiencing the exciting world of cats for the first time, and while her enthusiasm is adorable, she tends to chase them. A cat-free home would likely be best, but it might be possible with careful introductions. June is still learning her doggy manners so a submissive canine companion would be ideal. She would also be content to be an only pup and soak up all of your love and affection.
